The new Tehama County Courthouse is a 62,033 square foot facility with 5 courtrooms to accommodate jury trials. Services to the public include civil, criminal, juvenile, traffic and family law.
A secured holding area for in-custody defendants is also included in this program. The design challenges for this court building include creating a building that is responsive to the local context, geography, climate, culture and history of Red Bluff and at the same time, representing the dignity of the law, the importance of the activities within the courthouse, and the stability of the judicial system.
